Why do you require a confirmed
Paypal delivery address ?
A confirmed delivery address proves
that you are who you say you are. It prevents someone with unauthorised
access to your Ebay account from misusing it and protects me from
fraudulent purchasers. It provides protection for the buyer and the
seller in any given transaction.
Can I give you my
confirmed address with payment but get my item shipped to another
address?
No , that defeats the purpose of the
confirmed address. We can only
ship to the Paypal confirmed delivery address. No other address is
acceptable. If you can't live with that please buy from someone else !
I have a million
feedbacks with no negs , why can't you just send me the item?
Feedback doesn't tell us that you
are you, it doesn't tell me us that are the owner of the account that is buying my goods. If you
have all those feedbacks you should have a confirmed Paypal address,
after all you've been trading on ebay for years. Or are you really
someone else who has hacked an innocent ebayers account?

What is a
confirmed address?
When a buyer’s credit card/debit
card billing and postal addresses are the same. In some cases,
PayPal has examined the buyer’s PayPal account history.
How a buyer can
confirm an address.
Confirm your address by adding a
debit or credit card to your PayPal account. PayPal will confirm the card
billing address where possible (the address where you receive your card
statement). Your delivery address and card address will need to be
identical.
Why is my
shipping address unconfirmed?
PayPal uses an
Automated Verification System to verify credit card billing addresses
that are entered on the system. An address is confirmed if it is
associated with a credit card or debit card that can be
independently verified by PayPal.
These types of
security measures are unfortunately necessary in an online environment
where it is hard to check someone's identity. In the real
world, sellers can check someone's credit card and driver's license. In
the online world, where simple and effective identification tools do not
yet exist, we have to take different precautions. I believe that
these safety precautions are in the interest of all ebay members.
